If horror film history has taught us anything, it’s that there’s nobody better equipped to deal with a burgeoning alien invasion than a brave group of teenagers.
Set in the Inuit village on the Canadian island of Baffin (it’s the first feature film ever shot in the hamlet of Pangnirtung, Nunavut), Shudder’s Slash/Back sees four indigenous girls pit themselves against an invading alien force that appears to have extended their tentacles gets stuck in the local adult population.
Expect gore, jumps and one-liners galore from co-writer/director Nyla Innuksuk, whose debut film premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March.
Slash/Back is coming to Shudder on November 18th.
