A historic building in Lima caught fire on Friday as protests against Peru’s President Dina Boluarte continued.
Firefighters struggled to put out the blaze and the building in Plaza San Martín is believed to have been empty during the fire.
Dozens have been killed in weeks of demonstrations in Peru after former leader Pedro Castillo was overthrown.
The protesters want Ms Boluarte to step aside and call new elections and Mr Castillo, her left-wing predecessor, to be released from prison.
