Jeff Beck: British guitar legend dies at the age of 78

That year he recorded the album Blow By Blow with Beatles producer George Martin. Beck’s lyrical, sonorous guitar playing, which is entirely instrumental, essentially replaced the role of lead singer, an approach he would pursue for most of the rest of his career.
