Is Lexus a luxury car brand?

Lexus is a luxury car brand manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation, a Japanese automobile giant. The Lexus brand was established in 1989 as Toyota’s first foray into the US luxury car market, aiming to bring sophistication and craftsmanship to its vehicles.

Lexus offers drivers reliable performance and luxurious amenities unmatched by other luxury cars on the market. With its premium quality, high performance, advanced safety systems, wide range of models, excellent reliability and luxurious amenities, Lexus is one of the most popular luxury cars.

Is Lexus a premium brand or a luxury brand?

Lexus is a luxury brand. It offers vehicles with a high-end combination of performance, style and comfort.

It also sets higher standards in quality, design and craftsmanship, making it a coveted name in the automotive industry. Lexus is the perfect choice for those looking for luxury and reliability.

Which Lexus models are considered luxury vehicles?

Lexus is known for its range of luxury sedans, coupes, SUVs and convertibles, but luxury models like the Lexus UX crossover, Lexus LX 570 SUV and Lexus IS sports sedan are among the brand’s most popular offerings.

In addition to these models, Lexus has also released more performance-oriented models such as the RC F sports coupe and the LC 500 grand touring coupe.

What are Lexus owners saying on Reddit?

“Lexus is still a true luxury car brand, so to call it a poor man’s luxury car is inaccurate given how much a comparable vehicle from Toyota itself would cost.

One of the main reasons people are drawn to Lexus and Acura is their reliability. You would most likely have a better time in a BMW or Mercedes Benz, but you won’t enjoy owning a luxury European car once the warranty has expired.

You would be willing to own a Lexus out of warranty as they are very reliable. Auto YouTubers aren’t primarily a reflection of the real world either, so I’d take their opinion with a grain of salt, but no one wants to go through the hassle of buying a car that only breaks down once every time it ages. In that regard, Lexus is a relatively safe luxury option, no matter how much people hate it,” said SuperVegito777.

“I got the 3rd generation GS450h as my first Lexus, mainly for the horsepower compared to similarly priced Mercedes E-classes.

Also, I was pretty wary of buying a used Mercedes. I currently own a facelifted W213 E class and it is significantly more luxurious and refined than my previous 3rd or 4th generation GS which I got later. I would still not buy a used Mercedes, just a new one.” – hyrppa95 added.

“I was looking for an SUV. I don’t like BMW or BENZ so I looked at Acura, Porsche, Volvo and Audi. I wasn’t really thinking of a Lexus because I adored the XC90 and the RDX. XC90 is so beautiful but more expensive. RDX is fast and fun.

My friend works at Lexus. He helped me get a great deal on the RX, cheaper than Volvo and Acura AND he helped me get rid of my lease on the 370Z. So I got the RX for price and convenience.

I drove the RX for a few years. Base model from 2018.

Then I foolishly changed it to a premium model Honda Odyssey that served for a year. But the engine sound sucks, which is why I LOVED the Lexus. Driving feels completely different, which I hated (it’s a van).

So we went back to my friend but the RX was very expensive without any deals so we opted for the NX which I hated because it’s so small and I need room for two toddler car seats.

So half a year later the RX had a great deal, so I gave the NX to my mother-in-law and we went back to the RX, 2021 base model.

I just LOVE the RX. The power, the sound, the calm and serenity when I want it. This buttery smooth V6 with a nice throaty sound. Not to mention the RX still looks like one of the best SUVs on the road.” – zalinanaruto concluded.

As you can see, people on Reddit consider Lexus a luxury car and most of them like it way more than any other luxury vehicle.
