Police have taken Greta Thunberg away from a protest in the abandoned mining village of Lützerath, Germany.
Climate activists have occupied the village for days to protest against the planned expansion of a coal mine.
The Garzweiler open-pit lignite mine is set to be expanded to meet energy needs after Germany vowed to end its reliance on Russian fuel.
The country has pledged to phase out coal-fired power generation by 2030, bringing forward a deadline of 2038.
